WereWolf Long-Range EO/IR

See Farther

WereWolf imaging systems can visually and thermally detect a human-sized object as far away as 20 km (12.4 miles), recognize it as human at up to 10.5 km (6.5 miles), and identify it to 7.1 km (4.4). Built-in video processing compensates for less-than-ideal conditions, such as heat shimmer and water vapor in the air. This gives security managers the maximum possible time to determine a course of action and to deploy appropriate personnel.

See Faster

With a capacity of 600 pounds (272 kg) and torque to match, the WereWolf positioner can pan and tilt even the largest camera sets at maximum speed. An aiming point can be reached in less than two seconds, even if the system was looking in the opposite direction.

Of course, speed doesn’t matter if you can’t hit the target. That’s why WereWolf’s accuracy (ability to aim at the intended position) and precision (ability to do so repeatedly) are second to none.

Flexibility

WereWolf can be configured with focal lengths from 15 mm to 2000 mm, as well as 6x to 20x zoom factors. A single platform is therefore adaptable for any mix of open and rough or urban terrain.

Tool-free and cable-free sensor mounting simplifies configuration as well as maintenance. Third-party sensors can be added easily.

Any combination of WereWolf systems can be controlled by a single operator, using a single screen. This improves operator focus and engagement, by reducing the cognitive load imposed by a video wall of multiple, shifting images.

The WereWolf accepts many types of payloads.

Reliability

WereWolf systems operate in some of the world’s most difficult environments – and have done so for a decade and longer. IEC products are field-tested and battle-hardened. This is reflected in the specifications – IP dust and water resistance, shock and vibration ratings, MTBCF (mean time between critical failures) – and, even more important, in the trust that IEC customers place in IEC’s systems and support.
